Today we went to church at my parents church, Mt. Zion. This is the church that I grew up in and all my family still goes there.
After church we all ate lunch at my parents like we used to do every Sunday, oh how I miss Sunday lunches:) I completely took my mom for granted (sorry Mom) all those years when she would get up early on Sunday and start preparing food for after church. Now that I am all grown up I realize how much work went into making Sunday lunches each week.
After we ate we went to my sister's house to go mud riding on their new Gator, because thats just what you do in Alabama…MUD RIDING! It was fun and I think my girls would be total tomboy's if we still lived here.
My sister, Amanda lives on 120 acres so we had plenty of room to ride.
I mean look at Madison's face..she LOVED it!
And just because he's so cute, here is a picture of my nephew Cason:
Happy Sunday!
Melissa
Welcome to the thoughts I am thinking, the memories I am making, and the lessons I am learning along the way.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
And praying that we all slow down & take time to remember the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

Anticipation is rising..
The two " Little's" in my house are getting very hyped up and the anticipation for Christmas is among us.
When your husband is a pastor, Christmas eve is a busy work day so we are having our family Christmas dinner tonight. Tomorrow will be a little to hectic to attempt a nice dinner. We will be having our Christmas eve services at a local high school's football stadium for the 2nd year in a row. It is so amazing to see all of our church body worshiping together at one time. We have 3 services each Sunday, so its really cool when 1,500 people are all together signing praises to our savior all at the same time.
Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas !

My Girl!
Today was my little China doll's first ever Christmas program….and she ROCKED that stage :-)
This was her ( and her crazy hair) when she woke up this morning:
And here are a few pictures from the program:
And then we partied a little more in the classroom:
Ha…The party hat wouldn't fit over her bow but she did NOT want her bow taken out!
We are from Alabama we LOVE our big bows!
Today was a great day and I get a little emotional thinking of all that Madison has been through in her short little life but God has had a special plan for her and she truly is thriving! What a great God we serve.
Merry Christmas.

Chalk Art
McKinley and our neighbor, Abby spent over an hour in our back yard yesterday creating some
serious chalk art:
I kind of like it. Our whole walkway in the back looks like the board game candy land:)
Happy Saturday!

Gingerbread houses
Tonight the girls decorated gingerbread houses. They love doing this each year.
This year Morgan choose not to do one:( She's growing up and I DON'T like it!
And after the houses was made, we sat outside by the fire. Our family LOVES burning stuff :)
What's a fire without smores?
Morgan doesn't like for her hair to smell like smoke so this is how she hangs out by the fire :-)
And this one…well she can't sit sill long enough to enjoy the fire:
This is the perfect Friday night!
