CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

We had a good time looking at Christmas lights tonight with the two "Little's" at the County Fair Grounds. Morgan had her middle school Christmas party tonight so she was off having fun with her friends. Madison would ooh & aww over each light & she even had her first picture made with Santa! She saw him at the mall & didn't want to get close to him, but I guess McKinley made her feel more comfortable because she jumped up in his lap. Then after it was over she just sat their even after McKinley had got down to walked away:) They were asking her what she wanted for Christmas & she had NO clue what they were saying. I finally had to go up there & get her off Santa's lap.

At the half-way point of driving through the lights you could stop and get out. They had the original Frosty the Snowman movie playing and we watched about 15 minutes of the movie (not sure why McKinley looks so scared) while sitting on bales of hay & eating warm donuts...plus it was just cold enough for a good old cup of hot chocolate! Does it get any better than that? In all, it was a good night out with the family and another first for Madison. Blessings!

RANDOMness

Madison has been working really hard to learn to write her name & recognize letters, she not there yet but she really does amaze me with how quickly she picks up on things.

We are praying about enrolling her in a VPK program at the beginning of the year to help her get prepared for kindergarten. As well as help her to learn how to interact with other children in a classroom
setting.

She LOVES to help out with anything, including baking:)

She hasn't said any new words lately, but she repeats things ALL DAY LONG! I feel like I'm living in a groundhog day everyday:) I know that is how she is learning, though. I'm no homeschooling mom, so this is all new to me. I am trying to find everyday opportunities to teach her. Today while in walmart I would point to different things & she would say the colors, She seemed to like that game.

Tonight we are taking the "littles" to look at Christmas lights and I can't wait to see Madison's reaction!
More pictures coming soon:)

NEVER BEFORE...

Have we had Christmas lights at the Whitten house! My girls, since the time they could speak have been asking David to put up lights. And every year, without any problem he has looked into their big brown eyes and told them "NO". Well not this year! Guess who was outside for over an hour hanging Christmas cheer?

Father of the year!

It's not the Griswold's, but I know 3 girls who are very happy tonight.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MY DAD

I know some of you said a prayer for my father today. And I want to thank you so much. He fell last week and broke his thumb in 2 places & had surgery this morning.

The surgery went well and he is at home resting now. It is times like these I really hate living 600 miles away:(But my mom is a nurse so he is in good hands.

please continue to pray he heals quickly and will be able to use his right Hand efficiently.

Thanks & Blessings-

CHRISTMAS COOKIES

For some reason going from 1 to 2 children wasn't that hard for me,but going from 2 to 3 has just , for lack of a better word KICKED MY BOOTY! Everything seems to be more difficult for some reason, and baking & decorating Christmas cookies was no exception:) Plus McKinley had a friend over too so trying to bake, take pictures, & give everyone what they needed  was a little chaotic .

I bet those cookies don't look like any Christmas cookies you've ever seen:) But I must say they
tasted pretty good & the girls had fun, so I would say it was a success!

BEAUTIFUL, RIGHT?
And now I must go clean up the massive mess that is now on my back porch..

Happy Sunday!
