Farm Day Fun!

Madison had Farm Day today and she had a blast:

There was several classrooms that were decorated and the kids rotated rooms and did different activities.

Here are a few of Madison's art works on the wall:

And the petting farm was a hit:

This last picture may be my favorite from the day!

She loves to get her picture made:)

Happy Tuesday~

McKinley's Indian Pow wow

Friday was McKinley's Indian Pow wow. She was very excited about the day.

We had different "stations" set up for the kids to rotate . They made headbands, bracelets, necklaces, Indian flat bread & some kind of mask:) It was a very fun & busy 2 hours.

She really enjoyed the flat bread..aka pancake!

OUR WEEK ...IN PICTURES

Morgan had another cross country race.

McKinley learned that it is NOT a good idea to be wearing skates & holding onto a friends electric scooter....Guess that's not a "given" for  7 year old!

(pretend that my bed is nicely made in this picture because on any other day it would be..wink wink)

We are loving the slight weather change & the girls have been playing in the back yard a lot.

Madison was the "ME BAG" recipient this week at school, which meant that she was able to bring 1 toy to show her classmates everyday this week....Words cannot describe how excited she was about this.

Morgan had several projects due for school..sometimes I feel like shes in college, I am not kidding, she has 2-3 hours of homework every night.

She spent hours on this poster..she stained each paper with tea bags to make it look vintage..then wasn't happy enough with that so she then burned the edges. I think it turned out pretty good and she got a 100, so she was happy. Morgan loves any project where she can be creative, that is where she shines:)

All in all it has been a good week! Looking forward to church tomorrow.

STRETCHING

Have you ever had a time in your life when you feel like God is trying to stretch you? That was yesterday for me. I spoke at our MOPS( mothers of preschoolers) group at church for about 70 women. 70 women....can you say TERRIFIED? Public speaking is not my forte, so on the rare occasion when I get asked to speak in public I get a tad bit FREAKED OUT  stressed! And whats even worse I was in denial, I kept putting off thinking about it because I thought maybe it wouldn't happen ....crazy I know!

But yesterday was the day and I had to suck it up.I watched a you tube video about how to over come Glossophobia (fear of public speaking) well the lady said you should record yourself doing your speech and play it back....WRONG! I decided to try out the voice recorder thingy on my iPhone, don't get me wrong the recorder worked great, very clear but oh my word how I hate my voice. I am southern with a capital "S".  When I am back in Alabama I don't sound southern BUT in Florida I am VERY SOUTHERN. So that only freaked me out more, so I suggest do not try that if you do not like the way your voice sounds, that's my little nugget of truth for you today:)

Anyway, I am glad to report that it actually went pretty well, once I finally came to the conclusion that its not about me..its about GOD!I had been praying that if just 1 lady was somehow able to get a word from the Lord because of me sharing my story then it would all be worth it, all the anxiety and nervousness. The ladies in this group are amazing and really encouraged me yesterday, out of the 70 who attend half either attend another church or do not atend a church at all. God is really doing some exciting things in this ministry.

I got several emails yesterday with encouragement but I got one this morning sharing how even though she had already heard my story ( we had met for coffee a few months ago and shared our stories that day) It was just what she needed to hear yesterday and went on to share how God had spoke to her yesterday... Yay God! Thank you Lord, for that little encouragement and for showing me "that one " I had prayed for. I grew in my faith yesterday and God has, yet again reminded me if I will just step out on the ledge for Him, He will not let me fall. I read this yesterday and it rang so true " we need to turn down the volume on our inner critic & uncover the unique person that God made us to be"

As for other news, the kids are all doing well in school. I cannot believe that the first 9 weeks are almost over:

Morgan is still enjoying doing the morning show each day.

McKinley just loves school in general..She does her home work without me even haing to ask her..I hope she always stays that way:)

And Madison is enjoying school as well. I am so thankful she has had a good experince with school.

And me..... Well I am loving having a few hours a day to myslef:) I sit outside by the pool (most days) and do my bible study, then go do errands and then its time to pick up the girls.

Life id good, and I am blessed!

Happy "hump" Day!
