Another Christmas in the books!

Wow, I can't believe another Christmas has come and gone.

The Whitten girls are all happy and getting along for the moment, But I am sure that will change once we get on the road for or 9 hour trip:(

McKinley had a change of clothes in the middle of all her action..note to self: 2 of  my 3 girls do not like Onesies!

Christmas day was a success! And our Christmas Eve services at church was a great success too.
It's not very often we all get to worship together since we have 4 services each week so it is always a great thing when we can all fit into one big high school stadium.

Believe it or not I completely forgot to take a family photo all Christmas eve and Christmas day.

My hope is that you all had a great Christmas and took time to celebrate  Jesus, who is the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. Without His birth and death we would have no hope or future.
THANK YOU JESUS!

December Catch up

Well, I just can't seem to keep this blog up on a consistent basis...sorry.
So below are a few of the things that have been going on this month in our family.

McKinley and Madison both had Christmas performances at school.

And Madison had a singing part in hers....

Can you tell that girl LOVES a microphone:)

Then that same week they both had Christmas parties and McKinley's 4th grade class went to a nursing home and sang.

They made cards and handed them out too.

This same week McKinley had ANOTHER school Christmas program..Are you getting how tired I am at this point?

And now onto the week before Christmas. The girls are officially on Christmas break, woohoo!

Morgan got matching pj's too but for some reason didn't want to join in on all the fun:(

Monday we went with some friends to a town called Celebration, Fl to look at Christmas lights and we all had a great time. The kids got to ice skate and we all got to take a carriage ride through the town. If only It hadn't been 88 degrees out it would have been perfect.

So that's a wrap for the first few weeks in December. Christmas recap will come in a few days..or maybe months:)

Getting ready now to have our Chritsmas Eve service at the Newsome high school stadium. Looking forward to worshipping with our whole church family all at the same time.

Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2015

We spent Thanksgiving this year in Gatlinburg, Tn with my parents.

It was a nice change of pace to go somewhere new for Thanksgiving this year, and the weather was glorious! I was SO ready to have some cold weather:)

This was Madiosn's first time to experience Gatlinburg ans she liked it. We went to the Dixie stampeide one night and she really enjoyed that.

We also shopped and ate a lot of good food.

I hope you all had a relaxing Day!

The big 40!

I have officially begun my 40's! I was not looking forward to starting my 40's I must say, BUT, My friends and family made my birthday so special this year that it wasn't so bad.

My friends surprised me last week with a lunch at the Oxford Exchange in Tampa.

It was such a fun lunch. Thank you, Anne for all the time, thought, and money you put into planning this.

Monday was my actually Birthday and my hubby went above and beyond to make it special for me.
I had flowers delivered and Edible arrangements.

And then the girls all got me some of my favorite things: Candles, mani/pedi gift card and gummy bears:)

But the biggest surprise came when I opened up plane tickets to NYC!!!! I have always wanted to go to New York, now I can check this off my bucket list. It will be a few months before we can go but that's OK, I have something to look forward to.

I know I've only been 40 for 6 days now, but I have to say it's not so bad.

Happy Saturday!

Playing catch up....AGAIN

OK, I stink at keeping up this blog. I think about it but then I get busy doing something else and forget and then BAM two weeks have gone by!

So let me catch you all up on whats been happen around here.

Grandparents Day:

Every year at the girls school they celebrate Grandparents Day, this is not my girls favorite because their grandparents live so far away and usually cannot make it:( Every year McKinley begs for my parents to come, so each year I am the "stand in" grandma.

This year they had a 50's theme to it and the kids dressed up and each class preformed in chapel.

I have to share with you a few of the video's from chapel because my girl, Madison totally stole the show!!! That girl LOVES to perform.

She cracks me up!!!

And in other big news Madison lost her first tooth 2 weeks ago.

It had been loose for a couple of weeks and then she finally asked Morgan to pull it. Morgan is the resident "tooth puller" in our house:) She has pulled every one of McKinley's teeth so Madison would not let me touch it, she only wanted Morgan to do it.

Tomorrow I will update all about my Birthday!

Happy Friday

The Beach

We spent the last few days at Indian Rocks Beach relaxing as the end of summer starts to wind down.

The Lord blessed us with three beautiful sunny days to relax and enjoy his creation. The girls were great the whole time and really enjoyed the Ocean.

My girls love to jump the waves on a float.. They could stay out there for hours when the waves are big.

Yesterady it did rain for about 15 minutes but the girls made the best of it!

And David did too:) HA!

And being on vacation means good food and ice cream of course!
