SWEET SIXTEEN!!!!

If you need me today I will be rocking in a corner crying:)! How can the one who made me a mother be SIXTEEN....TODAY?

The last few years have just flown by and It is so hard to believe that not only can she drive ..legally, without her mom in the car, but in just two short years she will be in COLLEGE!
I.CANT.EVEN.

I am so proud of  the young women you are becoming. My prayer has always been that you would grow in your faith, be kind & have a heart of integrity. It is so cool to see how God is growing you as each year goes by.

I love you Morgan!

Final Day in New York :(

So we went to the 9-11 museum on oue final day in NYC and it was so surreal. It was very emotional so I cannot even imagine how people feel when they have personally known someone who died on that day. I took so pictures but there was certain areas where no photos were aloud.

After we left the Museum we walked around the city and ran into Dylan's candy bar. It was so cool and I am glad my girls wasn't with me or we would have spent a fortune:)

We got the girls a little something and if you know me at all you know my favorite candy is gummy bears so I picked up a bag... I may or may not have ordered 3 more bags since returning home :)

For dinner we went to a steak house called Quality Meats and it was amazing.

 Look at that bone!!!

And after dinner we went to see Wicked on Broadway... It was excellent and if you ask David his favorite thing about the trip he will say Wicked.

It was a great way to wrap up our time in N.Y.

And here are just a few other random photos from our trip.

Grand Central Station

Look who we ran into in Central Park:) They were there house hunting, they will be moving soon to New Jersey.. But I don't like to talk or think about that, so let's move on.

I love, love, love the dry bar products and my sweet friend Katie knows this about me so she surprised me with an appointment at the dry bar for a blow dry and style!!! Seriously, I was so excited about this. We don't have any of these in Tampa so it was such a fun little surprise.

Thank you Katie Butson I LOVED it!

New York was fun and I hope another trip back will be in my future.

New York Part 2

I was saying that Central Park was one of my favorite things we did while in N.Y. But my amazing hubby also got us tickets to go see Kelly and Michael so meeting Kelly Rippa was also pretty high up on my list too:)

After we left Kelly and Michael show we headed to another one of my " Bucket list" things which was Serendipity to have a frozen hot chocolate.

And let me tell you...10 years of waiting and it was worth the wait.

Here are some other random pictures :

Had rice pudding for the first time ever, was pretty good.

And there was the subway, not gonna lie, I didn't care much for it but it was a cheap way to get around:) This was my mood while on it the 2 times we rode it.

I better get productive and step away from my computer so I will post about our final day in N.Y. tomorrow.

The BIG APPLE!

So I hit the big 40 back in September and for the last 10yrs I have been wanting to gob to New York. So for my big birthday David got me a trip!!! Best Birthday ever!!!! I told him I will just sit around in mourning for the rest of my birthdays because he couldn't possibly top this one:)

If you hate other people's vacation photos then back out RIGHT NOW!

We left at 5:30 AM to head to the airport and yes, we were those dorks who took a selfie before we left.

Our hotel
was amazing and the view from our room....I cant even!!!

Time square.... That is what we got to see from our room every day! Oh and at night it was just so amazing to look at.

We walked about 8 miles each day and it's a good thing we did because we ate well if you know what I'm saying.

One night we ended up at Bar America which is one of Bobby Flays restaurants and he was there.. I turn around and he was talking to the people at the table next to us, so cool. I got the shrimp & Grits and it was delicious.
David got the Rabbit... But it was actually pretty good.

I have had several people ask me what my favorite thing was, that is a tough question but taking a carriage ride through Central park was at the top.

I loved loved loved Central Park! It was just beautiful.
I am going to stop here and will share more about our time in NY tomorrow.

Blessings,
Melissa
