LIFE LATELY

I know, I know, I have stunk at keeping my blog updated. Summer always messes my normal schedule up:) I have had three people ask me to please update my blog so I am finally sitting down to do that.

Summer is in full swing and we have had some lazy days and some busy days. We have had play dates:

So thankful for the pool because it keeps my two little girls busy each day.

Last week we had VBS and that was a fun week! Madison loved it and had a great time.

A few weeks back My parents came to visit for a few days and they brought back Madison & McKinley to stay with them for a week! So that meant I got to have some quality time with my teenager:)

I must admit it was nice sleeping in and being able to shop without the younger ones:) One night at 6pm we decided we would go to the International Mall, it was nice.

And while they were at the grandparents house they were having a BLAST! My mom took off work for a week and took them to different places each day.

Thanks, Mom & Dad for loving on my girls for a week, they loved it!

 I took the two little ones to the movies the other day while David took Morgan to a Rays game.

And that about sums up life lately. July is a busy month. We are taking a quick trip to Boca and then Morgan has youth camp and McKinley and I will be going to kid's camp in late July.  Ugh, Summer is flying by!

Party, Party, Party

This last week of school for McKinley & Madison have been filled with parties, playing, award banquets and just all out FUN!

On Monday, the kindergartners preformed in Chapel.  Each child  had to memorize a saying that went along with the alphabet. Madison had the letter "J" and she did great. Below is a video

After chapel they went back to their classroom and the teachers gave out awards. Madison got the "most creative" award:)

After that I went to Boing with McKinley's 3rd grade class for their year end party.

They jumped on trampolines for 1.5 hours and then ate pizza...sounds like a good combo right? ha!

Then on Tuesday night McKinley got an award for the A/B honor roll all year.

And now onto Wednesday, this was our last night of Awana at church and we had our award ceremony. I am very proud of McKinley, she got a certificate, a pin, and an alpha award for completing her whole book!

Which leads us to today, Thursday, Madison has a water party. They rented a waterside for the kids to play on and they have water guns etc.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday... I am tired!

The end is near!

McKinley and Madison only have ONE week left of school. HOORAY! But Morgan has THREE weeks left, that's right her little sisters get out 2 weeks before her and it is going to drive her nuts:)

May is always a busy month with year end stuff like parties, programs, and award bouquets etc. So I have been keeping busy. Here are a few things the girls have done this month:

McKinley held the Christian flag in chapel.

The girls also had an Art fair at their school so I had the chance to go look at a few of their masterpieces:)

Coming up next week: Madison preforms in chapel and then I chaperon McKinley's year end party. We also have an awards program to go to. Next week at school is pretty much just a week of no work and having fun with all their friends before schools out for summer!



A little update on Morgan..well she has been 15 a little over a month now and the other day I thought I would let her drive a bit....I will just say 3 minutes in I was in tears and I made her stop the car:( I'm pretty sure David will be the one teaching our girls how to drive, I am way to high strung for that job!

 And then there is little London! Her new favorite thing to do is run and jump in bed with McKinley every night:) If we leave  McKinley's bedroom door open after shes gone to sleep almost always we find London in the bed with her:)

McKinley and London are always together and it's so sweet!

Party Party Party

Morgan wanted to have a party this year for her birthday... I believe I have mentioned quite a few times how I hate throwing parties:) However, Morgan was 10 years old the last time she had a party and since this is her first year in high school, a party is what she got!

In normal Morgan style she designed her own party invitations and cake:) Morgan designed the cake and I took it to a local bakery and had them make it. It turned out just the way she wanted.

Morgan's theme was "Vineyard Vine" (a clothing store that's popular with the teens). We rented an outdoor movie screen and they had a movie night. It turned out pretty great. We had 18 girls in our back yard...but I survived:)

The menu was Chick-fil-A of course:)

And then when it got dark and we started the movie I set up a 

"candy bar" with popcorn and all the movie essentials.

I didn't get a good picture of the candy bar because when I brought out all that candy I was literally attacked by all the girls grabbing their favorite candy.

It was a beautiful night and the big ole' hug, kiss, and "thank you" I got made it all worth it!

Easter weekend

We had a nice Easter weekend Filled with family time, church, and Lee Strobel.

This year our church brought in Lee Strobel to speak at all 5 of our services and they were all GREAT. I went to three of the five and enjoyed all of them. we had over 3,700 worship with us over Easter weekend...even our over flow was packed!!

David and I were able to have dinner with Lee on Friday night and I will admit I was very nervous, But he was such a humble and gracious man.

If you haven't read his newest book "Case for Grace" you should get it. He gave us a copy and I am reading it now and It is very good.


Sunday afternoon we had the usual Egg hunt.

I was a little sad that Morgan didn't want to find eggs this year:(

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend worshipping our Lord and being thankful that the tomb is EMPTY!
